Success story of MR.

A Journey of Perseverance, Science & Hope at Isha Women’s Hospital

Some journeys stretch your patience.
Some test your endurance.
And some, like the journey of Mr. & Mrs Poojari, redefine what it truly means to never give up.

For over 5–6 long years, the Poojari’s lived with a single dream—to hold their own baby in their arms. Their journey toward parenthood was not easy at all. They visited multiple fertility centres, underwent several treatments, carried immense hope each time… only to face repeated failures and heartbreak.

The most painful setback they endured was repeated failure of embryo formation, due to which Mrs Poojari never even reached the stage of embryo transfer. Each attempt ended before it could truly begin. With every failure, their confidence slowly shattered, and the emotional weight became heavier. Adding to their struggles, time was no longer in their favor, making their journey even more challenging.

When they finally arrived at Isha Women’s Hospital, Mrs Poojari was 39 years old, struggling with a poor ovarian reserve, and burdened by multiple failed fertility cycles. Adding to their challenges, Mr Poojari was diagnosed with severe Oligo-Astheno-Teratozoospermia (OAT), with a sperm count of just 2 million. Their case was complex, emotionally exhausting, and medically challenging.

Yet, when they met Dr Chinmay Pataki, something changed.

For the first time in years, they didn’t feel like a “failed case. “They felt understood, supported, and genuinely hopeful.

Dr Chinmay Pataki listened patiently to every detail of their long struggle. With clarity, compassion, and confidence, he explained their reality—but more importantly, he showed them a path forward. He reminded them gently that even the most difficult journeys can lead to miracles—with the right approach and guidance.

A Carefully Planned ICSI Journey

Given Mr Poojari’s severe OAT and Mrs Poojari’s low ovarian reserve at an advanced age, the couple was clearly advised to proceed with an ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) cycle, which offered their best chance of success. The first stimulation cycle was approached with caution, hope, and meticulous monitoring.

Despite all the odds, 3 precious oocytes were retrieved.

In the IVF laboratory, the expert embryology team at Isha Women’s Hospital handled every step with precision and care. Out of the three eggs, one embryo formed on Day 3. Understanding how rare and valuable that single embryo was, the team made a careful, emotional decision—not to take any risks. That lone embryo was safely cryopreserved (frozen)

But the journey was far from over. Knowing that one embryo might not be enough, Dr Pataki advised a second stimulation cycle after a gap of two months, giving Mrs Poojari’s body enough time to recover and build strength for another attempt.

Once again, hopes were fragile… yet alive.

The second stimulation cycle began with renewed faith and cautious optimism. And once again, 3 more oocytes were retrieved. This time, science smiled a little brighter.

From these eggs, 2 healthy Day-3 embryos were formed. With deep gratitude and relief, these embryos were also safely frozen, alongside the first precious embryo.

In just a few months, a couple who once feared they had no chance… now had three precious hopes safely preserved.

What once felt like an endless tunnel of failures had finally opened into a path of hope. The Poojari’s, who had nearly accepted defeat after years of disappointment, now stood at the threshold of a real chance at parenthood—thanks to individualised treatment planning, advanced IVF-ICSI techniques, and unwavering emotional support.

Their IVF story is not just about eggs, sperm, and embryos.

It is about resilience after repeated failures with no embryo development.
It is about hope after years of waiting.
And it is about choosing to believe—one more time.

The Moment of Faith — A Decision That Changed Everything

When the time finally came for the embryo transfer through the Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) cycle, it was one of the most emotional milestones of their entire journey. After years of failures, heartbreak, and waiting, Mr. & Mrs Poojari now stood at the edge of the dream they had chased for so long.
Dr Chinmay Pataki gently placed the decision in their hands.

They were given a choice—
whether to transfer one embryo, two, or all three Day-3 embryos that had been carefully preserved through two stimulation cycles.
For many couples, this would be an overwhelming decision. But for the Poojari’s, the answer came from their hearts.
After everything they had endured…
after every tear, every disappointment, every prayer…they chose to transfer all three embryos together. It was a decision filled with courage, faith, and unwavering hope.
Respecting their heartfelt choice, Dr Chinmay Pataki proceeded with the transfer of all three Day-3 embryos, with utmost care, precision, and prayers in every step.
And then came the hardest part…

The Longest 12 Days of Their Lives
The days after the transfer felt endless.
Every sunrise brought hope, & Every night carried silent prayers. And then, 12 days later, came the moment that changed everything.

Mrs Poojari’s beta-HCG test came back POSITIVE.

It worked. After 5–6 years of waiting… after countless failed treatments… after moments when they had almost lost hope…They were finally pregnant.
The couple broke down in tears—not of pain this time, but of pure, overwhelming happiness.
A few weeks later, during the ultrasound scan, destiny revealed something even more extraordinary. The screen showed not one… not two… but THREE tiny heartbeats. Triplets.

Mr. & Mrs Poojari were stunned.

Their joy multiplied beyond words.

When Dr Chinmay Pataki carefully explained the medical risks and possible complications associated with a triplet pregnancy, the couple listened with full understanding. But their faith remained unshaken. With calm determination, they said that this was God’s blessing after years of struggle, and they wished to continue with all three pregnancies. Their strength, courage, and belief were truly inspiring.

Given the high-risk nature of a triplet pregnancy—especially considering Mrs Poojari’s age and past fertility struggles—the entire expert team at Isha Women’s Hospital monitored her with exceptional vigilance and care. Every scan, every test, every consultation was done with precision.

For nine long months, the team ensured:

  • Close maternal and fetal monitoring
  • Timely medical support
  • Emotional reassurance at every step
  • And constant guidance by Dr. Chinmay Pataki, the best gynecologist & pregnancy expert of Dombivali
It was a journey filled with careful watch, gentle encouragement, and immense trust.
And then…
the long-awaited day finally arrived.

With heartfelt prayers and nervous excitement, the couple entered the hospital for the most important moment of their lives. And in that moment…
Mr. & Mrs. Poojari were blessed with TWO healthy baby boys and ONE beautiful baby girl.

Three tiny lives; Three miracles.

One unforgettable moment that erased every pain of the past.
What once started as a single fragile embryo…
turned into a house filled with laughter, love, and little footsteps.
